Move-in Checklist

We're always excited to welcome new tenants to the Zeal Property Management family. Please keep the following in mind:

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

Your first month's rent and your security deposit both must be paid-in-full at the lease signing. We cannot release your keys without these funds.

Move-in Date & Inspection

The move-in date and inspection information will all be confirmed with you at the lease signing.

Utilities

Utility accounts for your rental home must be placed in the leaseholder's name immediately after the lease signing. You are responsible for keeping all accounts up to date throughout the duration of your tenancy.

Move-out Checklist

As you prepare to vacate your property, please review the essential details below:

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Vacating your rental property? You'll need to provide us written notice in accordance with the terms of your lease. Please refer to the lease to determine your official move-out date. Remember, you must pay rent through this date, regardless of whether you vacate the premises earlier.

Property Condition

All rental homes need to be brought back to their original condition before keys are returned.

  • Rental Cleaning: Clean every room in your home, remove all of your personal belongings and dispose of garbage. You'll need to pay extra attention in the kitchen and bathroom spaces. If you have any questions about the process, please get in touch with us.
  • Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If your home has outdoor space, please address all typical landscaping and outdoor maintenance chores once more before moving out.
  • Repairs: Take all steps possible to resolve any repair issues in the home. For large repairs, contact us to find an amicable solution.

Security Deposit

Your security deposit will be used to cover any repair expenses. We will perform a final review of the home when you vacate the property and if repairs are necessary, schedule these. All costs will be deducted from the deposit.

Remember, your deposit is not available to be used for your last month's rent.
